Great! Really have missed it. I remember when they showed a clip of Emmerdale or Eastenders, and one of the "blending into the background" characters was Cilla Black! Loved it and I'm happy that it's on at 5.30pm.

I think Harry's a bit of an acquired taste in his other TV shows, but TV Burp is a lot more accessible - always makes me laugh out loud! If I remember rightly they started asking viewers to email in their observations for the last series.

One chop, two scoops of mash.

My best recollection is from the C4 series he had during the 90s which wasn't that funny at all, he relies on the same hackneyed jokes as much as any other comedian you mention

Are we talking about the same comedian? I think Harry Hill's a true original. Sample Harry Hill jokes that I love include "Ever received an anonymous letter? Run after the postman shouting 1471. He's got to tell you." and "I was too young for that job at the post office. We had the radio on to pass the time and every time the music stopped I opened a parcel". Who else on the scene would use gags like that?

I really fail to see the ingenuity in those jokes that elevates him so high above 'the scene'.

Well, they're obviously not as good typed by me as told by him. My point was that, like them or not, he didn't use the "same hackneyed old jokes" as everybody else. I can't imagine too many other comedians, currently operating, using that sort of material still less making it work as well as I think he does.

It may be happy for you, but it's not so happy for the people who are just boarding a bus on the way back from work at that time. Rolling Eyes

So if it's going to be on Saturday at 5.30pm there's a high possibility that UTV might show it then... Smile
