This is great news!
Beadle's About was a great, great show and was very funny. The final series wasn't that good as it didn't really make anyone particularly angry/furious and there were fewer BEEPS and red faces.
But Harry Hill is sure to make this a winner! When will it air?

Hmm I have high hopes for Harry Hill - afterall, in a way he has pretty much become ITVs new Jeremy Beadle.
Isn't it 20 years since Beadle's About first started? Or have I got that wrong.
Anyway I used to love the show as a kid, especially when they changed the front of the local bread shop near where I live.

Exactly my point.

Beadle's About. What was so funny about making people think their possessions or property have been destroyed in a cruel and unusual way, only to be told their short lived grief was purely for our entertainment?
Exactly my point.

Hmm, have to agree. Beadle's About wasn't exactly great at the time and now with the second coming of "genuinely annoying git held in great respect" which the British seem to love the circle will have been completed and the Rapture can begin.
In short, Harry Hill is doing again what another completely idiotic **** of a man did 15-20 years before and it's sad on so many levels.

That even this forum, with its hugely misplaced reverence for the man has reservations about it, should be worrying enough.

Come to think of it, that angered me with some pranks. I'm hoping the new show may go the way of SWAG.

They did have to get permission from the person who had been set up to be shown on TV, so i guess its ok.
I think just because Harry Hill is good with YBF, and TV Burp doesnt mean that this will automatically work.

That wasn't the case all of the time, you probably remember some guys van being dropped into a river (I think it was a similar van anyway) and an old man's prize winning garden having tons of Pig shít being dumped on it, yes that was right, but it wasn't always the case. Some people were just set-up, they might have been a right fool of or indeed embarassed, but it was good hearted and the vast majority of people who participated on the show accepted that.

I think this is Good NEWS! some good programming back at last as long as its in weekday Prime time
BE
It's actually Weekend primetime I would have thought.
Also has this been reported as Beadle's about remake anywhere else apart from digital spy? On Chortle [here] they simply report it as a hidden camera show. Is there an official press release stating a connection to Beadle's about, or are DS again adding 2 and 2 to get 7 - as I think it's just a simple prank show personally

So it could end up being a remake on Trigger Harry TV instead?
