Talking of theme tunes (and continuing some of the discussion of remakes) I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but for the most recent series of Surprise Surprise they seem to have resurrected the original theme.

Double posted.

They've used this updated 80's theme since the 2013 series replacing an original theme for the first Holly Willoughby fronted series.

Speaking of surprise surprise the change in logo in the second series has not been reflected in the set, so the old (and better imo) don't is still used. On top of that the captions use yet another font. Very mixed.

Ah ok. IMO "Life Is Full of Surprises" was the superior theme.

I totally agree, but that's the theme that was used when I was a child so I suppose that I would be a little biased due to nostalgia alone.

Same here, though on the other hand they opted to replace the original with it and stuck with it, so the producers probably agreed too. And god you'd be gutted if you somehow found yourself in the Surprise Surprise audience and weren't reunited with your long lost relative from Australia!

And getting slightly less off topic watched The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm this afternoon - easily one of the better things on this Christmas.

It was one of those moments where i thought all of the audience did have a connection to Australia.

As for Professor Branestorm, it's one of the many programmes that I'm still trying to catch up with. I'm most probably not in the majority but I've loved a lot that has been on over Christmas - it's just trying to find the time to watch it all.

A bad quality off the TV recording, but here goes;

Either there is two promos or STV has a different version which has the theme tune in it.

Yes, there is a different promo which ends with a burst of the theme.
