No surprise. The Sun states he's doing a pilot teatime chat show called "Harry Hill's Tea Time" where guests cook a three course meal because every bloody chat show nowadays has to involve cookery! Sounds awful.

You never know, it might feature Brian Belo jumping around in a paddling pool of peas and gravy and the cooked pies might give us a smoke ring.

Followed by a chase sequence through various ITV studio sets. Not that Harry Hill has become predictable at all.

Wonder how many flops it'll take for him to resurrect TV Burp.

I suppose they need to stop giving him work.

On the other hand if ITV stop giving him work, someone else might, and then if TV Burp did come back it might air somewhere else, so that would be a risk as well.

The teatime chat show doesn't sound like a hit. Remember how viewers failed to connect with Mel and Sue, if it isn't a bland Titchmarsh style format they won't get it. I bet it will stay as an unbroadcast pilot.

Am I alone in thinking that was actually a good show?

I like it, it good in place, and the best acts were in the final. It was padded out to much, but I like Harry singing at the start.

I also like Mel and Sue it was, out of the box and a refreshing change,

Speaking of the Mel and Sue chat show, is it returning? I personally found it really good and refreshing.

So far he's had one. Some posts here make it sound as if TV Burp was some kind of fluke but it was a hugely successful series for over a decade. One series had 26 episodes which is more than every single series of Miranda put together.

Yeah, he hasn't done anything since TV Burp that was as succesful but TV Burp was a massively successful show, a once in a career thing. Saying Hill hasn't done much apart from TV Burp is like looking at Jerry Seinfeld's CV and saying, well, apart from Seinfeld, what else has he done?

I do think there is generally a lot of goodwill towards Harry Hill and most of us want too see him back on TV in a format that suits him (personally I'd rather it be something other than TV Burp).
