On the plus side, the pace of the show is about spot on compared to the original series if you take out all the padding. No wonder it's just over an hour long.
Apparently Harry Hill had a bit more creative control, which explains the mess in this format. If the 'TV Burp'-ness was toned down, then it would be more watchable.
It's watchable, but the Harry Hill influence on the original format just doesn't work. The performances are just incidental.
This is what happens when you're desperate to give a famous face a format to get them on Saturday night.
Still, it could have been worse, and ended up presented by Ben Shepherd or Nick Knowles and just reminded the audience why they fell out of love with it in the first place.
