Hmm, could work ... if they change the setting to a pub with a telly, and change the name of the show, but keep the
basic format of recent TV clips with humourous commentary and skits. Although Al Murray's brand of humour as
the "Pub Landlord" might not be to everyone's taste, not everyone enjoys Harry Hill's silly surreal humour either.
Trouble is, the "Pub Landlord" character isn't totally suited for a family audience, so either Al Murray would have
to tone down the character somewhat, or the show would have to be moved up closer to the 9pm watershed.
Look at "In Bed With Me Dinner" - same basic format as TV Burp, but the humour was more adult, with occasional
strong language, and often typically aired at around 11pm ... albeit mainly on the Paramount Comedy Channel.
