I wouldn't say the big finale thing was "big" but it seemed pretty definite that this is intended to be the last - the credits ended with an EastEnders clip with [some character I don't know the name of] saying "It's over." Alas, there is a Best Of edition next week.

It was Ben Mitchell talking to Phil, you might not recognise him as he was a recast a couple of years ago and his character changed dramatically.
It definitely did seem like it was supposed to be the last - the appearance of the 'real' Heather for the first and only time in the show's history, the instrumental used over the end credits with the applause of the audience slowly fading out into that effect sometime used where it sort of fades into audio feedback (click for an example), and the extra echo on the last drum beat over the 'Avalon' production cap.

What a brilliant send off for TV Burp, probably the best episode of the series and indeed the last couple of series. Although I love the show, it has seen better days and this series hasn't been the best.
Great to see the real Heather and Amanda Lamb after the "Everybody loves Amanda Lamb" song...

Lovely tongue in cheek 'sad' version of the theme too at the end. Great send off, but can't help but feel this series has just been filled with too many silly songs and sketches as opposed to the good old fashioned observant comedy clips.

It was a brilliant episode.
Not for a few years - the CN episodes just have Harry (and often no flashing lights or anything).
The first episode has appeared online again (not saying where incase it's taken down again) It is very different from what we have now. When did the audience become involved with the fight bit?

How early are the Cartoon Network Episodes. I'd love to see some early TV Burp.

Has anybody got a clip of the original Amanda Lamb bit from years ago?
She was on Star Psychic Sally Morgan and Harry made the song because the programme said Morgan had read stars such as Robert De Niro and Michael Jackson. So when "a Place in the Sun presenter, Amanda Lamb" was announced, he started a celebration. The link between this song and the original is so tenuous though and people can probably barely remember.
