According to The Sun, there's been a u-turn and it's not being axed after all.

Take it with a pinch of salt for now. I went to the recording Thursday just gone and they confirmed that this week's would be the last.

It was the second time ive seen it being recorded, the first back in 2008, which I would say was its heyday, and it just wasn't the same. I don't get why he can't seem to pick out the brilliant things he did back then, such as "window sheep, on Emmerdale!" or "isn't it funny when your shadow looks like an elephant carrying a briefcase?" I felt quite embarrassed as some of the things he did didn't even get a laugh.

I suppose the problem with the programme for Harry is that he is so involved in the writing with the others, which shows of the past may not have had.

Just like back in what you say was its heyday in 2008 Chris, the programme for me still has brilliant episodes, and some which are not so on form. I remember going for a recording in 2007, and howling with laughter, yet in 2008 I didn't laugh so much. I'm not saying that all episodes in that series were bad, just the one that I happened to be at the recording of wasn't as funny as the previous year.

Much the same recently, some haven't hit that spot, but the previous week's episode with the return of the Amanda Lamb song, the Scrimpers Tips, and the unravelling of a certain knitted character... or was it?

I'm still of two minds, I do still find the programme very entertaining, but after so many years I do feel like I'd like to see Harry try new things. Whatever he does do, I hope he doesn't restrict himself to one network, so that he can try new ideas, but still continue with YBF, and possibly a shorter run of TV Burp in the future.

I think it's time to move on. He's had a good run but TV Burp just isn't the same as it used to be. To be honest I haven't seen much of this series as I can't really find a reason to.

It would be great if Harry got a new show (ITV or Channel 4) that's completely different to TV Burp and perhaps just continued with YBF and try to have a few TV Burp specials throughout the year - Summer special, Christmas special, etc.

Does anyone remember his old Channel 4 show with Stouffer the cat - loved that!

He'd have seen it, if he was.

Remember that when he signed to ITV, they aired TV Burp for a short series, and also aired 'The All New Harry Hill Show', because it wasn't as big a hit as they may have anticipated, they requested more TV Burp.

But I would like to see him try new ideas. I do remember rumours of an idea that he pitched for a comedy spoof soap, that I would like to at least get a pilot as it sounds like an interesting idea. I also enjoyed his Comedy Cracker last year, a good bit of surreal writing is always good.

If anybody has sky anytime+, An Audience With Harry Hill is available with a good bit of quality Harry Hill comedy.

I remember the first time I saw it, by chance flicking through the channels, it was a repeat on ITV2. The first time I laughed out loud was this clip from Emmerdale with someone in the pub that looked remarkably like Cilla Black.

I made sure to watch it from then on.

I'm going to the final one on thursday. I went to the first show back in february and he really took it out on Amy Childs. The footage didn't appear on the final edit that week, I thought it might appear on another episode but I've not seen those bits on TV yet.

Having been to the recording this Thursday I was surprised how much didn't make the cut, including the part that took most effort to set up and clear up after, and because of it probably got the biggest laughs of the night.. yet they didn't use it.

The Amy Childs stuff got the most laughs too, Harry had to compose himself before carrying on.

The episode on Saturday was definitely the worst of this last series imo, items seemed to be repeated and I don't like the way Harry and team tend to pick up on one thing and make about 2mins worth of filler out of it - I'm sure it never used to be that bad. 'The Amanda Lamb Song' - was marginally funny last week but he didn't need to do it all again, perhaps cut it after the first verse "...yeaah enough of that" etc and lead onto something else.

But anyway whatever the case, its certainly time for it to have a long rest.
