Harry Hill has campaigned for the return of the BBC globe in his guest column in this week's Radio Times (18-24th October) - The article's a bit long for me to sit here typing out, I've got other things to do! and I don't think it's available online, so if you want to see it, you'll have to buy a copy of the RT, or just look at it in your local shop - it's on page 12.

He says the acrobats and Maori Rugby players are "pointless" and "you knew where you were with the globe". He also has a bit to say about the "Freeview" ad campaigns with John Simpson/Richard Blackwood/Dot Cotton etc...

Very interesting article though!

Very entertaining article.

The description of 'a bunch of herberts fannying about in leotards with some red ribbon' made me laugh out loud.

Also love the description of 'a cartoon revolving world - produced by the BBC Radiophonics Workshop for about ten quid'.

Worth 88p of anyone's money. Very Happy

While we're mentioning Harry Hill, does anyone know if TV Burp is returning? I loved the last series, couldn't stop laughing.

I haven't read it yet, but good on you Harry!
The globe or the balloon should come back.
Everyone knew it as BBC1. Smile

If you read the article, it confirms at the foot of it that Harry Hill's TV Burp returns to ITV1 next week.

That'll explain why I saw a Harry Hill ITV1 ident.

I can't figure out this guy's routine - skips from one to the other, no gradual transitions through the act...... my younger bro has met him and I'm sure he's a great comedian and all that, but I just don't 'get it'.....

I cant wait for TV Burp to return. The Harry Hill show was ok, slightly better than the C4 series infact as it was classic light entertainment.

TV Burp though was great. It reviewsthe weeks TV with a comical slant, picking fault on little mishaps, the characters in shows and of course the #TV HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK# (Short V.T. Plays) #TV HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK#

I hoep they do a preview of the Christmas TV this year, and how about on New Years Eve, itv try and do something rather than just put on a film and then Trevor McDonald. How about Harry Hill's year in TV Burps. It would be nice if they could do something with the crowds that gather in London, and if they could stage a Live cd:uk or music concert with different types of music playing, perhaps from 11:30pm - 2am, or something.

I hope they give him a show at an All New Harry Hill Show Christmas Special, now that would be good, a bit of light enteratinment, perhaps on christmas eve!

Don't think there will be a Harry Hill Xmas Show as he will be busy recording TV Burp as well as doing his Capital Radio show.
There are tickets available now for the TV burp recordings on the
Tvrecordings.com website.

Capitalfm.com has Hill listed as hosting noon to 2pm this Sunday... There have been changes to the schedule on the station though, including the axe of Hit Music Sunday
