I guess as it's now the 6th, we can officially say Happy Birthday to Sir Greg of Scott.

seeing as you knew full well when greg's birthday was, why did you not
a) send him a PM with your greeting
b) send him a card in the post to his place of work
c) start this thread today and limit the sycophancy to one day rather than a week
give me a call on 0901 326 8888 calls cost 75p from a BT line

as much as greg seems a nice bloke, and a job is a job, and some of you may have been entertained by his little bits of banter between the braindead callers who were tricked (morally, not legally) out of their benefits on quizmania, i do not see the need to make out that he is the best thing since sliced bread.

i find the comments in this thread toe curling and think you all should turn off your tvs and take a long hard look at yourselves to see where your lives are going wrong.

I refer you to the posting I just made on Metropol regarding this thread:

Now now... I know Greg Scott is mostly associated with his work on said gaming channel, but that was not the reason for my starting the thread.

Aside from his presenting on the quiz channel, there are a few who see him as a respected television personality for his entertaining presenting ways and also a respected member of the TV Forum family, we do not all see him as a patronising presenter being egged on by his employer to force people into racking up monstrous amounts on their phone bills to part with their cash when they have no hope of winning the prizes on offer.

End of rant. Thank you, Good night.

I for one do not consider him to be the "best thing since sliced bread" - and I am neither his number 1 fan or indeed a stalker, It is his presenting style and sense of humour I respect, and I'm sure there are some others who would agree with me.

I apologise if starting the thread a little early pissed some people off, but as I said at the beginning of the thread I started it to give people who respect him in the same way I do, the chance to pass on their best wishes.

I just cannot believe the amount of negativity there seems to be on this forum at the moment. It seems you can't say anything without having somebody jumping down your throat.

I'm sure Greg does not want to see all this negativity over this subject either, so I think we'll just leave it at that.
