Babestation, the programme/channel that changed the face of British television forever is ten years old tonight. Although the channel launched on 20 February 2006 (when Game Network UK changed it's name to Babestation) the Babestation segment had been running on Game Network for some years before that. Did there really change anything? digital tv I dare say helped expanded it, but What about Playboy TV?
Or the Adult channel which started back in late 80s under the name Home video channel

Yes, they launched this kind of television in to the mainstream. Although I believe The Adult Channel had some live call-in programmes presented by Caesar the Geezer in the 80s and/or 90s, this was only available to viewers who had already made a decision to pay a subscription to The Adult Channel.
L!ve TV faked this kind of thing with Janeycam where you could phone up (later text in) and encourage 'Janey' to 'go further'. Although this was obviously recorded so the calls and texts had no effect on the programme, other than to fund it. It took Babestation to do this kind of television for real.
There are now many copycat formats, of course. With the latest one being the BBC's Sunday Morning Live.

What are you blathering on about?!? How could a topical discussion show on BBC One, be compared to late night
broadcasts of plastic slappers gyrating on TV for sad pervy blokes calling/texting in via premium rate numbers?
Unless of course you're thinking of a corny old double entendre involving the word "debate" . . . !
I used to quite like watching Game Network when, you know, they did shows about computer games. It gradually got swallowed up by Babestation and other tat during its last few years.
