What date *is* the birthday again?

Good question. I've always had the "official" launch of the forum down as 22nd March. I think this was the day the forum launched with the Ikonboard software. I have re-uploaded a page which explained the change. Sadly the file created date wasn't kept after my last backup so I can't exactly pinpoint it.

The earliest thread I have I've uploaded here (I guess it's the 14th one!) and this used some very basic bulletin board software. As you can see the date is down as 18th March so I'm guessing it was probably sometime that weekend when it first appeared.

Cheers, Asa

Ah yes, I remember that original look, Asa. That took me back a bit. I remember that the BBC bomb exploded on the Saturday, leading to a weekend of BBC World going out on News 24. On the Monday morning, I went to Belgium for a few days on a school trip. The day I returned, I joined the forum - it was either 22nd or 23rd March. I can't remember which, though.

Ah takes me back to the early days and proof for next time the annual 'TV Forum is going down the drain' pops up that people have always been complaining about illiterate 14 year olds.

According to my profile page, referenced from the link to the old forum, I've been here since 11th November 2001.

Happy Birthday TVF.

I've been here since November 2001, but I've been hovering about since the start as I used to visit the old TV Home site.

I joined after many years of admiration of TV Home. I can always remember sitting at home, staring at the BBC Balloons.

Ahhh, those were the days!

Same here. I was gutted when TV Home closed. I then noticed the link saying TV Forum continues so I thought, 'why not?' and joined.

And I think there should be a new look to celebrate! The site is looking really old and boring now, a fresh lick of paint would nice. I mean you are still using a .gif for the header when you could use .jpeg or a .png!
