Happy 18th everybody. As a temporary host of the forum for a few days back when we were all young and temperamental, it’s a pleasure to have been here from the start and played a small role in the history of the site. And 18 years on - a wife, two boys and my own business later - we’re all still going strong! Here’s to the next 18!

What, the wife, two boys and business?
I'm not sure I've been here quite the full 18 years, but I know I've been a member for a fair chunk of them. And it's generally been entertaining, but occasionally useful too.
In 2003 (or thereabouts), I heard here that STV were getting a new set for Scotland Today, so used that info to nab their old one for our student TV station. And in 2005, in an interview for what turned out to be my first job out of uni, I was asked what channels BBC Broadcast were playing out from the Broadcast Centre. I got a bit of a surprised look when I listed pretty much all of them...
Even now I occasionally find out about things at work through the forum, and, I'm happy to explain how things work in case it encourages someone else into the industry.
