ITV2: The launch.... apparently it was only watched by 700 viewers, if that's possible, but considering it was only available via On Digital and Cable & Wireless, it's reach wasn't going to be big.
I thought you'd made a mistake when you said ten years but bloody hell it is.
I actually used to watch quite a bit of ITV2 in the early IVC days and that ident with the fish going round the bowl. I enjoyed 'Soap Fever' with Emma Kennedy and the repeat run of The Last Train.
I honestly can't think of anything I've watched on it for about eight years though.

From that link, theres another link to ITV2's first advert break which was for a mobile phone and being 10 years ago... the size of the thing!
Speaking of the launch, I don't know if it was part of the launch or just part of a news report I saw but I seem to remember Billie Piper and another celebrity turning on a mini transmitter outside to promote the start of ITV2.
Can't say it's a channel I watch much at all either - apart from The Xtra Factor and Britain's Got Talent spin-off I couldn't tell you the last thing I watched on it, and IMO it certainly went downhill when ITV4 came along and took a sizeable chunk of it's content, and it's took ITV2 quite some time to recover.

no it actually readjusted its focus and is now far more clearly defined in terms of a target audience. If you aren't in it then so be it.
I think the only thing ITV4 'took' from it was Champions League football, also a move that makes sense considering how that out of place that would now be.
I don't watch it much either but, fair play to them, ITV2 seems to be one of the very few digital channels that really knows it's audience well. It's clear who they're after and unashamedly delivers what they want. It stands out way better then the likes of BBC3 and E4 IMO who just seem confused.

I'm assuming you're male? If you are, that is exactly what they wanted to happen. ITV2 is no longer 'ITV1 Extra', its now a womens channel, ITV4 is a mens channel. Simple as.
Didnt have ITV2 myself until about 2002 but apart from episodes of Corrie or Emmerdale ive missed (or wanted to watch again) and occasionally the Xtra Factor, I dont really watch much on it.
