Can't they put on some random Quiz Call/Mania like show again but without the controversy it used to attract. A feel-good show is what we need. Supercasino just hasn't cut the mustard.

And they're replacing it by 'Home Shopping'? Who's going to be buying Hoovers at that time of the morning???

What sort of ratings do the main channels get overnight? There must still be an audience there which is equivalent to what some minor channels would get in primetime.

If it's just a case of filling the schedule ITV rerunning This Morning overnight wouldn't be the worse idea.

Anyone remember the 'Come On' lady on Quiz Call? They had her sat there in a bikini for the whole evening and all she could say was 'Come on' They mocked her on Quizmania the day after and had Greg and Debbie saying it during a speed round and Greg shouted "Come on" when the next caller hung up on them.

And they're giving the impression nobody's calling, when in reality the lines are probably jammed and they're refusing to let people through while pocketing the cash.

This was always my biggest issue with these shows. It was disingenuous and done solely to make it look like you would get put straight through if you called, and that you were the only person watching who knew the answer and so must be really clever. It was preying on those who maybe aren’t so savvy about these sorts of things.

Well, the Channel 5 schedule for past New Year's doesn't look promising:

Quote:
Jan 1st into Jan 2nd

1:45 - Criminals: Caught on Camera
2:10 - Teleshopping
3:00 - Access (entertainment news, usually used as a film breaker)

Quote:
Jan 2nd into Jan 3rd

1:00 - Teleshopping
3:00 - Access

Quote:
Jan 3rd into Jan 4th

1:05 - Teleshopping
3:05 - Access

So, it does seem we are getting Teleshopping.

This kind of thing still continues. Put on ITV3 during the day, and look out for the incredibly challenging crossword puzzles in the ads. Preying on the vulnerable and the elderly.

"Phone now, time runs out in 30 seconds", even though that same ad will be run countless times.

Alongside the numerous funeral plan & Fred Olsen Cruises adverts.

Also with those dodgy looking commemorative coin adverts.

Yes, ITV3 clearly think all of us watching are either stupid or nearly dead judging by the adverts I have to get through on classic Corrie.

Are we just going up with a lot of nightscreen like channel utv and stv or a lot of TELESHOPPING or just random repeats of the chase etc as filler?

Channel 5 are going for Teleshopping; no word on what ITV will be going with.
