What happened to Bank Holiday TV?

I understand it is a Bank Holiday today but nobody seems to have told BBC1

Besides the news being a bit shorter and there being no CBBC in the afternoon, the schedule is exactly the same as every other Monday

Do we really need the full 5 hours of daytime antiques and car boot sale shows with Lorne Spicer on a Bank Holiday?

They are even showing The One Show at 6.55

I'm sure it hasn't always been like this?

A normal schedule suits me. Bank holiday telly is usually awful - not that I'm saying I'm a fan of that Spicer woman.

I agree with Andrew on this one. Ive just tuned into BBC One and the schedule is very poor for a Bank Holiday. At least ITV are doing something a bit different with their Northern Rock All*Star Cup tournament - which I am thoroughly enjoying.

Im surprised the BBC are showing Neighbours on a Bank Holiday!

Also a very early lunchtime bulletin today on ITV1 - the regional lunchrtime bulletin went out at the same time as the weekday mid morning bulletin goes out.

It must be a very special day - ITV aren't showing Emmerdale!

Elsewhere though it's just a regular Monday - only ITV have abandoned their regular daytime schedule, while primetime isn't too different to normal.

Must say though that over the weekend Time Team has been brilliant on C4.

Shocked Im shocked there is no Emmerdale - although they have a 1 hour episode on Thursday to make sure they get their 6 episodes Rolling Eyes

At least that love island rubbish ends tonight.

Perhaps the fact that it's not a Bank Holiday in Scotland has something to do with it?

I agree, loving it - hope they bring it back next year. No doubt Sky One will pick it up again if ITV aren't interested.

So have STV and grampian a regular daytime schedule then? Or do they have to follow network?

I agree, once Bank Holiday TV was totally different to a normal day, now everyday of the year the same things are shown, though I might be exaggerating, it just feels that way Laughing

TV companies/producers seem to have given up altogether. Shocked

I thought the problem was that network *were* following the regular daytime schedule

As a matter of slight interest, which golf course have they been using for this tournament?
I usually hate golf, but this is quite amusing. Not that good though that Emmerdale is to be cut out of tonights schedule.
