I know one thing. The only scheduled programming to survive would probably be Corrie, Eastenders, Emmerdale, and national news (obviously!). The soaps are too popular to be dropped! Everything else would give way to the coronation and funeral.

As for satellite and cable, adverts would be dropped (they were for Diana, at least on the Sky channels, Fox Kids, and Disney), but normal schedules will applly, since all Sky One viewers also have Sky News. I remember when Diana died, Granada Talk simulcast Sky News - on the day they closed down! Normal programmes never resumed on that channel. Could that happen again?

When the Queen dies I think they should have Jenny Bond outside Buckingham Palace ready to go to air then BBC One & N24 take the broadcast while the caption for the news thing goes on BBC Two.

I know she's not in her job anymore but I'd think it would be appropriate seen as Jenny has been in the position for so long and has that sort of classy royal look to her.

I think they should have her back for just that one royal occaison.........then the BBC could give Nicholas Witchell a coronation as Senior Royal Corrspondent, lol.
