That's what he said on MSN. He is near a television, but I don't have one in my bedroom!

I expect we should get an update soon from BBC news. Sad

Who needs Sky News when you've got Kevster's mate Pauley on MSN Laughing

Some would say it's a more reliable source really...

I'm not listening to Pauly anymore! He loves a bit of drama, he's a git. sorry!

I must say that it really doesn't look good. Princess Diana and three of her passengers died after crashing and she wasn't travelling at 280mph in a rocket-powered car!

I wonder if the accident will be shown on TV?

My goodness; crashing at close to 300mph...wonder what caused it to all go wrong?

Hopefully he will make steady recovery from this.

I would have thought he'd have been kitted out in all the safety gear, so hopefuly that will have protected him. One of the BBC's bright talents who they had been using to appeal to a younger audience. Let's hope he pulls through.

There's nothing like a crisis to bring out all the idiots, is there?

It will be interesting to see how the accident has an effect on the programme itself. I'd imagine he wouldn't be too up for more dangerous stunts.

Agreed - and to illustrate this, some sicko amended Richard's entry on Wikipedia to announce his death as a result of the accident! It's been removed now, though.

Wonder how these f**kwits would like it if we wished ill-will on their friends and family after a serious accident.... except decent people don't stoop that low.

These lowlife need to get a life.

Let's hope they don;t need to use the Hammond Organ Donor Card.

Am I wrong for laughing at this? I know it's not the right time but you gotta admit that's somewhat funny.

These sort of things always happen when it comes to serious injuries - some morons decide to announce their non-existant death. Rolling Eyes

This is terrible, terrible news indeed. 280 MPH? It doesn't look good. My heart goes out to his wife and young children. Best wishes Richard. It's amazing how quick people rush to update his wikipedia entry as well.... Rolling Eyes Just read where it happened. The airfield is literally behind my house.

Really awful news - as someone just said, you have to think of his wife and daughters. He's a talented, immensely likeable presenter and so full of life. I hope he gets through this.
