I'd go for :-
"...two private members' clubs populated mainly by men in their 70s and 80s..."
Although, I note that in common, modern useage, the one apostrophe I've put in, is often considered as correctly omitted.

Just to get back to the main point of the thread, I too enjoyed the programme hugely, and howled with laughter - not just because the show was very funny, but because I could see myself saying exactly what many of the contributors were saying.
Roll on next Friday.
(I'm 37, btw)

I trust you've all just watched this EXCELLENT programme on BBC2.
Those that have, now know EXACTLY where I'm coming from!
Those that missed it can, at least, catch the remaining three editions at 21:00 on BBC2 over the next three Fridays.
Anybody want to show their age by either agreeing or disagreeing with me?
Yes, I saw this advertised and gave it a chance it was very funny and a good watch on a Friday evening.

And the second edition was as good as the first, I thought.
I LOVE that idea of singing LOUDLY next to anybody using a mobile phone in a public place.
I could just be tempted to try that, with EVEN better consequences, seeing as I sing considerably flatter than Rory!

I'm a grumpy old man, but I missed the show, unfortunately.
