I trust you've all just watched this EXCELLENT programme on BBC2.

Those that have, now know EXACTLY where I'm coming from!

Those that missed it can, at least, catch the remaining three editions at 21:00 on BBC2 over the next three Fridays.

Anybody want to show their age by either agreeing or disagreeing with me?

Well it's not necessarily our age - more mental attitude. I'm 37 but I've been a fully paid up member of the 'grumpy old men' club for years - or so the wife tells me!

Since I belong to two private members clubs populated mainly by men in their 70's and 80's, I think my eventual membership of the grumpy old men club is under serious consideration as we speak.

Obviously the section of the programme dealing with improper use of the apostrophe had no impact...

OMG - misused apostrophes is my favourite niggle; post suitably edited.

Not so sure about that. Your revised version reads:

"...two private members clubs populated mainly by men in their 70's and 80's..."

I'd say there are still three errors there.
