<in a 'George the Hippo' type voice> Ohh Geoffrey!
They seem to have got the vet out to put that silly giraffe character to sleep....
Or at least I haven't seen him in a while - mind you, I don't think I've seen a proper Toys R Us advert in a while either...
I expect those silly little kids running around the store got a right b****cking from their mothers for being up late on a school night!!
But they still haven't managed to find a person who can write the right way round to fix the 'R'.
On the subject of the shopping channels, I too have seen QVC/Shop! selling their stuff since about July 25th.
QVC are always quite good around Xmas because on Xmas eve before they all bugger off at 12pm until Boxing Day at 9am they read some viewers faxes during the course of the morning..
What a shame Paul Lavers isn't @ QVC anymore - he was one of the best of the bunch!
With regards to QVC's graphics - I think the snowflakes are just their 'winter' ident, even though we're in the middle of autumn!
They usually have a green background to the graphics for xmas...
I think the xmas graphics in QVC's early days were better - I seem to remember there being snow on top of the Item description box and then some funny characters on the other graphics.
And didn't QVC used to not broadcast at all on Xmas day... I seem to remember there being just a message saying 'We return on Boxing Day at 9am.' or something like that, this was only for the first couple of years of QVC I think, then they started broadcasting recorded stuff over the closure period.

At the age of about 12, I was told to 'sod off' by Geoffrey (it may have been a bloke in a suit, I can't remember). When I saw another giraffe inside the store, I asked him how there could be two Geoffrey s at the same time - and the response I got was rather surprising.
Still, there you go. Never trust a 16-year old dressed up as a giraffe in Basildon town centre.

Recent years?!!?!
Someones just told me when I asked them when the full version was withdrawn they said 'YEARS ago, I am talking 8 years ago here'
What do you think about that?

Yeah that middle verse used to be in, and the entire ad was animated IIRC. Its only in the recent years they've cut it down, and put live action in the middle!

Anyone seen one of the latest Woolworths christmas adverts lately? There was one lastnight on UK Gold, at about 9:15pm where Frank Butcher came out of a store and he met Ricky. And you know how they always forget something and he had to go back in? Well he forgot blank tapes!
Nice one Butcher!

Wow! Whereabouts? Maybe we could meet up somewhere!
