It's BBC employees who have walked out over the resignation of Greg Dyke. So far, they've shown shots of Broadcasting House and Television Centre.

N24 keep showing a scene with loads of people outside and the odd vehicle tooting their horn. Does anyone know if this is the people outside BBC HQ, or is it file footage? The newsreader hasnt talked about it yet.

I think the pictures you're talking about are outside TVC reception, although as Rob says they're also showing pictures of BH. Similar demonstrations of support are being organised at other BBC buildings around the UK.

Maybe somewhere in the bowels of TVC there's a focus group currently being asked this question: "Who do you want to see fired next?"
And this is not a sad day. This day should show the BBC that it is not a political institution which deserves an editorial opinion of its own, especially while it is entirely dependent on the government's purse.

So the BBC should be the Government of the day's mouthpiece? What rubbish.

PS
As important as the story is, does the weather really need to be covered with a graphic that doesn't fit?

Surely if they can take time out for the weather, they can remove that for ten minutes?
What was the point in removing the tower in that case? To see more of the presenters arm?
Why am I making a seemingly angry fuss out of something that is really trivial?

Claire Short summed it up, 'There are big commercial institutions in the UK and America who would like to see the BBC substantially diminished' The Yanks will buy ITV in a few months and won't want competition.
Make no mistake this is yet more state control

Interesting that they kept the strap up during the weather and promotions of other programmes at half past the hour.
