Fireman Sam was awesome, as was the ORIGINAL and BEST Thomas The Tank Engine. HiT have ruined it.

Have to agree with comments about the original versions of Fireman Sam and Thomas the Tank Engine. Definitely my favourite theme tunes as an 80s child. Also quite liked Postman Pat at the time.

Ah oui, Postman Pat. Again, brilliant before it was ruined by the post-modernists.

My father has the 7" single, the B-Side of which is the Ted Glen song. If anyone knows what I'm on about, please tell me.

Some of the translated dubbed versions of the Fireman Sam and Postman Pat themes that appear in related videos are quite interesting. The production values in some countries are better than others!
