Is this programme the most random programme ever? It takes attributes from many programmes and has just thrown them together.

The theme music is terrible in my opinion, even though it grates on you, I think its awful for a quiz show.

I just haven't got a clue whats going on, there are random question rounds, and random voting.
Am I the only one who's sick of lieing and voting off in these quiz shows?

That was a load of s**t! Once again, ITV, you have let us down!

I think the music is great. A welcome break from the dull underscores from Paul Farrar and co at Rumble Music.

However, I could do without the film effect - it's a lighthearted gameshow rather than a heavy piece of drama.

As for the format. It is as though someone was developing a quiz show where none of the contestants are aware of the answers (which would be a novel twist) then, just before pitching to ITV, one afternoon at RDF towers someone was watching the 'conning the other players' part of Golden Balls and thought "Thats a good idea" and crowbarred it into the format.
They need to watch out though. All the shows were recorded earlier in the year, but I've noticed that so far this week, the great pretender has been the first to leave the 'holding area' after the quiz and face CT back in the studio. Should TGP get recommissioned - that will have to change for any future contestants 'taking down notes'...

Notice now this is listed in the EPG as "Chris Tarrant's Great Pretender".

I guess it hasn't been rating well then?

Dunno really? It should be rating well as it is a good show. Some EPG's vary though - my Sky box just says "The Great Pretender".
