Do they ever talk about Sport on talkSPORT? It only ever seems to be Mike's Dickin talking about bloody parking ticket evasion!

Last time I listened to talk talkSPORT was when I was channel hopping on Freeview, and all it was, was James Whale giving us the listings for a Saturday night on ITV in 1990, interesting to TV buffs like myself, but hardly Sport.

I wouldn't give a toss if Stars In Their Eyes was cancelled - I never particularly liked the show since Matthew Kelly took over from Leslie Crowther and nowadays, it seems just lame and outdated. Matthew Kelly should have stuck to presenting You Bet which he did so well. If ITV were to bring back You Bet in favour of Stars in Their Eyes and put Kelly back as host, now that'll be a great show to watch!

Stars In Their Eyes should have ended years ago, the show was popular with Leslie Crowther, then Matthew Kelly seemed to make it even more popular, one problem was that it was just getting a bit same old same old, and the fact they were doing far too many of the 'Specials' fair enough as one off's, but God knows how many celebrity and kids versions they made.

Audience tastes have also changed really, if you want to see Joe Public sing then the audience watches something Pop Idol or more recently The X Factor as it shows just about anyone singing, whether they be good or bad. Not (and I quote Peter Kay here) some plumber being applauded by aload of old pensioners from Wigan.

I like Stars in their Eyes, however even thought Cat Deeley did a okay job of it (doing the kids version) I feel it needs to be put to bed.

The expensive way to axe it. Does that ever work, You Bet! and Telly Addicts were revamped and bombed.

You Bet!'s cause wasn't helped by whichever moron decided to replace the theme and music package in its last year.

And that's what did it. Well done Simon! What would the world do without you and your universal eternal wisdom?

If ITV1 disappeared off my TV I personally wouldn't miss it other than perhaps Corrie and Emmerdale for a while (they are light brain fodder whilst eating dinner). Other than that I don't watch the channel anymore - and certainly none of the innane game/talent/celebrity shows aimed at (and populated by) degenerate wanna-be Neandertals who missed out when evolution was being served-up Laughing

And now they employ the likes of George Galloway & Jon Gaunt !
