Anyone aware that Bob the Builder (classic cartoon from 1998) is getting the Thomas treatment? I hate the way they make the faces look ugly...EUGH!

One could argue that the people who once were the target audience probably now have kids, and sitting and watching something like this with them would be pretty painful. I remember many times I sat watching the new Postman Pat and Fireman Sam with my nephew and absolutely hating it. Not only that, but they seem to be more patronising. I've watched old kids shows back from when I was young and they were never that bad... And we're only talking 15-20 years ago.

The latest to comeback is Tom and Jerry, albeit in an exclusive cartoon for Children in Need.
