What does most people think of these come backs, I know its seems to be the in thing right now to bring back classic series, just look at the gameshows were getting back, but one has to wonder if all the above can keep there charm?

They're all going to die a horrible death. Seriously. The PC brigade is much more vibrant than what it was in the 70s and 80s and these will get watered down and tampered with so much that they'll barely be recognisable. They'll bare no resemblance to their originals so they won't attract the original fans, and chances are they won't attract much attention from today's young children because the names will mean nothing to them.

But hey ho, keep an open mind...

BTW, both of these were popular in 1980s Slovenia, even before the fall of Communism. This is how they sounded in Slovenian:

*shudder* They freaked me out as a kid. Especially Pootle, with that little trumpet...

I think they only made about 13 episodes, a bit like Bagpuss. Repeated for quite a while though.

What kids show comebacks can anyone think of that were genuinely a huge success on parallel with the original? The closest I can think of right now is 'Thunderbirds' becoming an unexpected massive hit all over again in the early 1990s, but they were repeats, not a new set of episodes.

Don't forget it became a hit again in 2000. I remember all the merchandise came flodding out again.
