BBC Two often seems to have the best continuity announcements.
I remember once, a number of years ago, to introduce the satirical spoof news bulletin 'The Day Today' (which has since moved to Channel 4 under a different title - 'Brass Eye'), she said something like: 'Now on BBC Two, we're grabbing the headlines by the throat, and giving them what for!'
Not hilarious, but certainly nice and bizarre. Actually, thinking about it, it may have introduced Have I Got News For You?, not The Day Today... (I've now confused myself)
