Well that was really one of the Faults in the format of this programme. The judges should have paired them up from the beginning. Then if it all went tits up they could use plan B, which is let the contestants pair themselves up.
Do these people learn nothing from eurovision song contest. Never let the British Public vote.
Apparently even Simon Cowell thinks his show is crap...

Cowell: Grease is the Worst
SIMON Cowell has confessed his reality show Grease Is The Word is a FLOP.
The telly bully’s ITV1 talent series is being trounced by BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do.
Critics have slammed Grease for being too much like X Factor.
And Cowell, 47, admitted: “Grease Is The Word is not going as well as I had hoped.
“It has been slaughtered by the critics - and rightly so.” Grease, which aims to find a new Sandy and Danny to star in the musical in London’s West End, is pulling in around four million viewers.
Meanwhile Any Dream — hunting a star for Joseph And His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat — is riding high on six million viewers.
Cowell, speaking to Broadcast magazine, said of Grease: “It is far too similar to our other formats.”
He said of reality shows: “There is a lot of rubbish out there.” He reckons only three will survive — his X Factor and Talent, plus the Beeb’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Last night Cowell told The Sun: “Initially I was not crazy about the show, but by episode three I got into it. I think the judges are great and I’ve warmed to the talent.”
A Grease spokeswoman said: “We’re really proud of our show.”
I dont think its a flop as im really enjoying it (although in terms of ratings it probabaly is) and im glad they have decided to go go solo performances from next week.
As for tonights bottom 2, I expected Danny and Alison to go - they said that Danny isnt ready so remind me where the logic is to keep him in?
It'll deserve them right if Danny ends up as Danny - they had the opportunity to get rid, and should have tonight.
The fatal flaw once again though - in the final sing off once again the best Danny and Sandy's were in different couples, and if they'd given themselves the option of choosing individually who goes through from the sing-off, rather than which couple, it would be alot better.
Also, "You're the one that I want" - again!
I'm 50/50 on the format now - definately glad they changed the couples tonight, but perhaps they should have done that every week to mix it up a bit.
Also definately think it's better they're going solo, though I'm not too sure about splitting the Danny's and Sandy's - essentially by the last week the finalists will have performed on 5 live shows each - around half the amount of the Josephs!
It really should have been the other way, beginning with them seperately and then pairing them up in the later stages.
P.S. Can't be arsed finding the thread, but what is it with Lloyd Webber and Lewis. Last week he screwed up the sing off and was still saved, and this week he's been chosen over their most consistant performer - probably one of only two who'd be capable of stepping into the role immediately!
Watched both last night. Firstly, re: Joseph - it's obvious Daniel is the chosen one - he ALWAYS has the leading role when they do a group performance.
Or not ... Daniel certainly wasn't the favourite tonight - and he gave a massively better performance than Lewis in the Sing off - though I can also see the point that he probably wouldn't be right in the part, professional and competent as he is. Lee blew the rest away tonight.
Because of the new scheduling I caught the end of Grease - and it just struck me how similar it is cosmetically to The X Factor - but poorer in craft terms. The LED screens are too close to the people on stage during the results elements, meaning they bleach out, and they don't line up at all well. Also the stage is so flat and dull - Joseph really works well with audience on three sides, makes great use of the stairs and balcony, and really integrates with the band behind - it really feels like a show everyone is enjoying taking part in, and much more intimate. It just feels more confident - and also more polished in pretty much every way. (Grease isn't helped by looking dreadful on satellite - flat lighting isn't helped by the muddy softness of overcompression on ITV)

Agreed - Daniel was one of the strongest performers and within a few weeks I'm sure he could have immediately started playing Joseph. Lewis, while not particularly bad, was way behind the rest of the crowd. The decision last night was pathetic. Was Lord Lloyd Webber drunk or something?
Either way, we're now left with two fabulous performers, and another three who are mediocre in comparison.
What if there was a
Fame Academy
-esque system where the panel votes for people to be placed in the hands of the public, following which a public vote decides who stays and who goes?
So they fixed tonight's show to ensure that they weren't stuck with a stammering charity case as a West End leading man - and that's about the first good decision the producers have made!
Predictable final line up really, though I'd have opted for Michael over Kavana.
