It's suicide scheduling it directly against Any Dream will Do - be much better off airing it around 6.15pm then putting Gameshow Marathon in the later slot.

Putting it head to head with Doctor Who would hardly increase ratings

To be fair though the BBC are just as guilty having shunted the National Lottery Peoples Quiz to 6pm - though I suppose they can claim they had the slot first.

Starting in the same slot perhaps not, but giving it a head start so it's the last 45-minutes that clash probably would - Doctor Who probably has as many anti-fans as it does fans, and I think Grease would find more viewers from the people not watching Doctor Who than it would from those not watching Joseph.

Indeed, looking at the schedules I think it is obvious that the People's Quiz was supposed to air at 7.45pm (since when has a National Lottery quiz aired at 6pm?) and Any Dream airing before Doctor Who, in the slot Graham Norton occupies practically all year round

The poor ratings for the People's Quiz obviously lead to the switch around

A few changes tonight.

Firstly, they've fixed the doors so the couples actually fit through them!

Secondly, they've fixed the order the judges comment in - putting Gest first so he doesn't interupt the other. He's still pointless though - why did they have to renew his visa?

And finally, a scheduling change to incorporate the results in the main show - though I don't think that'll hugely benefit them to be honest!

Looks like they're doing "You're the one that I want" every week then for the sing-off.

Great show tonight - I think the right couple went home. Glad that the judges made the right decision there.

Any idea why they combined the main show and the results show at such short notice? I assume it is to keep viewers from switching over? I preferred it the way they did it tonight.

I assume that's the reason.

Yep, it did work better as the results shows are so dragged out - but I do think it could have done with something like a group performance or an extended VT feature before the results.

I'd personally have gone the other way in the sing off - but neither couple would have been a big loss. However, it was blatantly obvious that the judges were going to vote out the working class couple at the first opportunity.

Has there been any explanation yet of how the couples were paired up? Are they in the same couples as bootcamp, or did the judges/producers/whoever pair them off?

Looks like its just you and I watching it Brekkie!

But putting the 2 shows together they have managed to save about 20 minutes of air time as well.

I dont think it was explained how they paired up the couples - some of them certainly are the same pairs as in bootcamp. I still think its a bit unfair that the viewers vote for them as a couple not individuals as one might be better than the other and deserve to go through.

Anyway the couple I like the most are Danny and Susan. I hope they win. I also like the 2 who were in the bottom tonight but were saved.

Completly agree re: Danny and Susan.

Looks like Joseph is the first to blink then - they're moving to 6.45pm next week - though that's due to Eurovision I guess - they're back head to head the week after, though Grease has the head start.

Also, it's just the one show next week and the week after too.
