I remember him appearing in an episode of Some Mother's Do 'Av 'Em and always remember how Franks Spencer and 'Mr Bronson' were trying to act out this serious scene without laughing too much.

Classic.

Are you thinking of the scene when the insurance surveyor comes to Frank's house to look at the claim Frank is making regarding damage to his furniture? Because it's Richard Wilson and it's the only time I've watched the show and Michael Crawford totally struggle to stop laughing.

Ah yes that's the one! Another fine actor!

What a shock! He was considered as an alternative narrator for Little Britain before Tom Baker got the role.

I remember him in Grange Hill but not that well as I was only 5 when he left.

A good actor, most missed.

As I'm sure you already know, www.grangehillfans.co.uk have a tribute on their front page and classic clips throughout.
