Absent in his list of appearances was his role in STV's Take the High Road. I enjoyed him very much in that.

He was a fine and accomplished actor - I remember him popping up in one of the very early episodes of Minder... alas, well before his "You boy!" days.

He played the character of Mr. Bronson excellently.

And so say all of us cylon6. A very sad day for Grange Hill and the acting world as a whole. Michael was brilliant at whatever he turned his hand to; he was fiercely defensive of Grange Hill and loved playing Mr Bronson. RIP Michael.

I don't remember him in TTHR. A search shows he played the part of Nikki Zaharoff. Do you recall his storyline Gavin?

If memory serves he was one of Sam Hagan's investors in the estate.

Or something like that - but we don't want to go into my knowledge of High Road...

Thanks. I just knew it would be something to do with "the big hoose". It's all coming back to me now.

I remember him appearing in an episode of Some Mother's Do 'Av 'Em and always remember how Franks Spencer and 'Mr Bronson' were trying to act out this serious scene without laughing too much.

Classic.

Are you thinking of the scene when the insurance surveyor comes to Frank's house to look at the claim Frank is making regarding damage to his furniture? Because it's Richard Wilson and it's the only time I've watched the show and Michael Crawford totally struggle to stop laughing.
