They won't be getting 100s of millions of viewers if they limit themselves to a Prime service that's limited to a grand total of five countries, just two of which are English speaking.

I'm surprised Amazon would let that happen, unless it's not for quite a while after they're initially made available. Surely one of their main motives of picking the show up was to get people to subscribe to Prime.

I think it's inevitable that they will have distribution agreements for countries without Amazon Video, indeed here is a tweet and reply about such situation.
I've seen similar for Canada and Australia. I wonder how much patience they want people to have. Presumably not much as they'll know people will turn to alternative sources.
I do think it's less likely we'll see a UK TV deal in the short term.
