I have just found this site and love all the discussions.
A while back, someone said that the previous yellow titles had been used since sept 2001. I know that they haven't. They have not been in operation for as long as that. So does anyone know when this previous set of titles/studio etc started ??? (ie, when granada tonight became granada reports)

Well according to TV Ark it re-launched as Granada Reports on October 1st 2001.

Yeah TV-Ark is right as their video clip is the first one of that new look with Lucy and Rob

Has anyone seen the Granada Reports billboards around the streets? Its got So, Lucy, Tony, Ann, Fred and Ally pretending to watch TV in a Living room, and at the bottom it says "Come home To Granada Reports new look - Weekdays at 6pm" Then a ITV1 Logo.

Looks ok, shame they have a ITV1 logo. It’s on Granada!!

The posters sound good, but I haven't seen any. (Note: Go to Manchester sometime soon)

But did anyone see tonights, it was good, but they have severe technical problems, one was when Tony was reading a rather important story the light above him dimmed into darkness and he just carried on reading as usual but in the dark and later on when Tony was doing an interview the camera suddenly swerved to Lucy by mistake, but she later apologised for appearing suddenly by mistake.

But the programme is watchable, even though the opening titles are vile and the technical part of it is crap.

Yeah i saw the Tony bit with the lights, However i missed the Lucy bit but they kept on joking about it after it had happend. I think the crew are just getting the hang of the new studio etc.

Just seen the 3.00pm news from Granada and it was in the main studio. They had new titles on the TV Screens behind Tony which where just Blue with plain Yellow.

Did you manage to tape it.?. Can you upload it on to this Site.?.

I know some people have been Critical of the new-look to Granada News & Granada Reports, but I very much like it.

The Main Set for Granada Reports and the Lunchtime & Afternoon Updates is brilliant. I agree that it is very much like the ITV1 News Look.
