Granada will still be the region for the north west England though, and also produce programmes such as Corrie but they will be branded an ITV production.
Look at why it was who made the post though. GMTV AKA Paul Akinbola AKA UKTV games....

Basically it seems they've decided to run the Network Centre as if it were a wholly owned subsidary of ITV plc, instead of what it actually is, supposed to be commissioning the programming for the network independent of tbe regional companies. ITV Network Limited is in fact the old ITV trade association (ITCA/ITVA) renamed, and is still owned by all of the ITV companies (including Scottish/Grampian/UTV). But if the top ITV plc management are going to be there looking over the NC's shoulder, how can it be independent?

No great surprise - it always seemed strange they kept the Granada name when all other regions were dropped.
I wonder if we'll just get plain old "ITV Production" all the time, or whether - like Granada does now - they'll keep hold of some regionality with "ITV Manchester", "ITV Yorkshire", "ITV London" etc. productions.

They'll need to keep some regionality, it will be a shame to completely drop the names.
