Granada Regions - Is Meridian News next?

So we've seen a relaunch on Granada Reports and Anglia News Tonight with BIG clues found on their websites before hand, so while looking at the Meridian News website I see the traditional Meridian purple and yellow has gone and made way for a swish light blue; is this a clue for a possible Meridian Tonight relaunch?

And for those of you who'll point out that on the URL address bar the purple, yellow and orange sun is still there, the same could be said for Anglia News on their address bar, which doesn't prove a thing.

I find it amusing that they seem keen to revamp programmes like Granada Reports, which don't really need it, yet Lookaround remains untouched. Shurely it's their turn?!

If you click on the link for Meridian News and look closely on that plasma screen it looks like that the look has change. Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: I think i'm wrong, I think its the old look. Does anyone know?

From what I know Granada Reports and Calendar were revamped for a reason, which was that a new presenter was joining the show, but I'd say that it is a good idea revamping the whole package so nothing looks out of place. Though Granada have been worse, the 'deep purple' titles introduced in 1998 only lasted for 10 months before they were ditched.

Suprises me they don't touch Border, it's a shame really, that they had the same opening titles for 8 years, but don't forget that Granada only bought them in 2000 (I think) and they revamped in 2001, so hopefully knowing Granada they should get a revamp in the not to distant future.

But Granada aren't as bad as Carlton who seem to revamp Central News every 18 months, but even more suprising is that Granada and Carlton don't bother revamping London Tonight, they've had the same titles for 4 years, same with North Tonight and Channel Report.

But I don't know why Anglia News needed a revamp, as they only changed their titles last year, as did Meridian, possibly we're getting closer to a generic look for all of Granada's News programmes.

Note; I think they were trying to a couple of years ago with Granada Reports, Calendar and North East Tonight, as all the titles had tons of circles in them.

When the website went online in the Granada style recently it did originally have the news header in Purple, but it didn't look too great to be honest, and the image in the squares looked really badly compressed. I should imagine they just changed it to make it look better.
