Where as with NWT, it is the only English Region outside London which has only one presenter.
Quote:

Look North (NE and Cumbria) only has one presenter - Carol Malia or Lara Rostron

South Today with Sally Taylor or Roger Finn (or Lucy Jacskon)

I prefer the main 6:30pm edition to be "double headed", its a lot better that way.

I prefer a Regional News Programme to have two Presenters. Sometimes Granada Reports is only presented by one person, but, Granada do vary their Presenters.

If Tony & Lucy are away at the same time, Ann O'Connor will step in.

Last year we saw Trevor Green & So Rahman step in on occasions.

At least Granada do like to vary their team, even if on occasions it does have one presenter.

I think NWT needs a Revamp. Other BBC Regions have a more modern look.

BBC North West fail when their Slide at the Left of the Presenter is on during the bulletins, sometimes you see the presenter's hand go through and why do the presenters have to introduce themselves, it is so out-dated.

Does anybody know what happened to some of Granada's 1980's presenters.?.

What happened to Ann Lester, Sue Robbie and Shelley Rhodes (I know Shelley once had a Column in the Manchestre Eveneing News).

If anybody knows anything about any Former Granada News Presenters or Reporters please let me know, my website www.benjaminfshatliff.com/archives is going to be updated to include more about former presenters/reporters and I need some more information.

Why is it I can only think of Richard Madley and Anthony Wilson as the only 1980's presenters. Though I don't know what John Huntley is up to these days, as he came along in the mid 1980's. Though looking at the 1980's presenters I can think of have gone on to do bigger and better things than Granada News/Reports.

Is Tony " What's On " Wilson, the only Granada Reports presenter to have a movie (24 Hour Party People) made about himself ?

Yes he must be, as you know the film is more about his career at the Hacienda Night Club and the whole Madchester scene. Though Richard and Judy made a brief cameo in Ali G in Da House.

He was around in the 1980's, but then he was there before the 80's and after the 80's, as he was there until the late 1990's.

I was also thinking but wasn't Gordon Burns working for Granada News in the early 1980's? Before The Krypton Factor.

Is anyone else having trouble getting Granada to work on Sky Digital. It is in the Other Channels section, and it just says 'There is a technical fault with this channel, please try again later'.

Also I have Channel and Scottish, but they don't work either.

Anyone see Granada Reports tonight, loved the interview with Jerry Hall, as she seemed that she wasn't that bothered about the whole thing she was promoting, plus she also kept looking down at a sheet of paper infront of her.

But you have to love Tony's bragging at the end.

'I don't care, I interviewed Jerry Hall'

Yes it was good.

It is a shame Chris Rogers can't pronounce Rob Jaskowski and Jane Dougall as he has just demonstrated during the itv News Network.

I have updated mywebsite by the way, much better now.
