You're not going mad Dave, I haven't seen any ITV News promos at 6:15 this week, I would have expected one at least! Though I wonder where Tony Morris had to go this week, he has been off since the end of last week, they even had to let Ann O' Connor present one edition the other week too. Though I hate this where some days they only have one presenter and other days they have two! What is that all about? If the worst comes to the worst they should do a Felicity Barr and promote Alistair Mann or Mike Hall to being a main presenter. But as I said its about time Tony Morris has some time off as he presents far more compared to Lucy.

Though talking about it I think Gordon Burns is due some time off, he's been presenting every day almost since September, you can tell the effect it is having on his voice!

Tony Morris has gone on Holiday to Florida.

He mentioned it a few weeks ago when they were talking about the Manchester Derby for the FA Cup, he said he wouldn't be around.

He has also mentioned it several times since.

I am sure they went to itv News on one of the evenings this week, maybe Tuesday because thet is the only edition I saw Live last week.

Oh yes i remeber he kept saying to Lucy all the time am off soon anyway etc.

Why is Granada Reports sometimes presented by two people, and sometimes by one person?

It just depends really who is around, 90% it should be Lucy and Tony together or one of them on thier own. If its not them its Anne or So doing it alot of the time.

Actually, I imagine it's far cheaper to use the CSO. If they use the big studio, they would have to pay to staff a full gallery.

The whole two presenter or one presenter thing does really get on my nerves at times, but the good news is that Tony Morris was back tonight from his holidays. I wonder how much he will have to work now then? Knowing our luck we'll see Lucy take a big holiday or every other day off!

That is true actually, but since the relaunch at the top of the month they seem to have been presenting everyday of the week, but I am betting that she will take Friday off, as she did last Friday, though I think it was the Friday before where Ann O'Connor presented.

What is so difficult about working five days a week? Gordon Burns hasn't had a day off in ages! Not since September, though you must cut out Christmas, though it is starting to take its toll on his voice. Though Tony usually does Fridays, even the 12.50pm and 3.00pm are usually done by him.

I noticed this week on Granada Reports we had only 1 presenter, Lucy, on Monday and Tuesday, then it was back to 2 presenters on Wednesday.

I also noticed we had Peter Berry on GMTV bulletins this week.

Yeah it was a bit mixed this week with Tony coming back Wednesday, Then like i said Lucy was off Friday again Also i have noticed when we first got the new look Lucy came back at 6.55 but now it seems to be Tony more.

I guess it altenates, as Lucy has been doing the 6.55 for over a week on straight, then I expect Tony will be doing the 6.55 for another week straight.

Granada Reports was funny last night, God knows how long they took to give away those Carling Cup tickets!

Anyone else noticed when they handover to the Weather, the presenters always say 'Thank You' or laugh, they never say 'Thank You Lucy and Tony', I know the Granada Weather isn't done live, but don't they know whos presenting, plus if they did that it looks more convincing to the viewer that the weather isn't coming from Leeds.

You can't beat the simple days when Fred read out the weather while a childrens picture is put up on screen.
