You all know I am a huge fan of Granada Reports & Granada News.

Can we now officially open this Thread to have discussions about the News Service.

To begin with, what do we all think about the changes this week to Granada Reports and I missed the News Today because I was working, who presented it and was the format different.?.

Firstly, would you mind changing the topic title so it doesn't appear in BLOCK CAPITALS. It's not necessary.

Thankyou.

I thought we had a North West thread somewhere but anyway

I only managed to see the 4.50pm and it was presented by Alistair Mann, it was in the CSO studio, like the GMTV bulletins, shame they can't present from the normal studio. But there was nothing different between today's teatime bulletin and the one of last weekend.

Well my copy of the Granada TV Annual Programme Statement 2004 and Programme Review 2003 came in the post today, some 4 or 5 days after I sent it off and I have to say it is a very good read.

According to it before the relaunch of Granada Reports last September some independent research was conducted, shame it wasn't research on the graphics of the programme. Theres also some info about some new regional programmes and I never realised that Crimefighters Alpha 3 was so popular, as it apparently got at least 30% of the audience for that time of day. Theres also some pictures of all the Granada Reports presenters too, I am glad I sent off for it, as it is a good read.

Thanks for the info, I am going to send off for one too.

Mr Benjamin F, a question for you. Say you're at a dinner party where nobody watched Granada Reports. Would you still insist on talking about it?

In case you don't already know, Granada have updated their website again and so have some of the other Granada Regions.

I have to say Benjamin, your website is a totally unique product. THE website for politics and ITV.

I noticed, though they do it like the Lunchtime and the 3pm, as some nights they are in the studio and some they are out, I know at least one night last week they were in the CSO studio. What I think would look good is if they brought the short bulletins from the Newsroom, as they did this on Friday, as the whole programme was dedicated to the cockle pickers tragedy and they did a round up of the rest of the news in the newsroom and it looked quite effective.

OT: I was suprised to see that Kerrie's win on IACGMOOH was the main end story on NWT, even Gordon and Diane admitting they watched it.

Granada seems to have gone somewhat pear shaped on Satellite at the moment...

I have a feeling they've changed transponder which is why I'm getting the technical fault message...
