Within the context of the 'new' 'national' ITV1, these regional names are all but relics now anyway.

So why isn't granada a relic - only because Charse Allen is the guy calling the shots and the rules apply to everyone except his company.
You're talking " dog in the manger " bol locks.

You, sir, an idiot.

Firstly, it's possible to disagree with a point without being insulting.

Secondly, you didn't read the post. I said that the regional names were all but relics. I did not exclude Granada as a regional name.
Granada will continue to exist primarily as a production brand, which is unsurprising as it is has a long history as such.

And yes, I know I'm being rude back, but I'm getting fed up with being sworn at in this thread, when I am trying to make reasonable points.

I've heard of "You're talking b*llocks", but I've never heard "You're talking dog in the manger b*llocks" before.

What kind of a dumb-ass phrase is that? The "dog in the manger" bit doesn't even mean anything/make any sense/add any "impact" (or whatever) to the "b*llocks". So what's the point of saying it? Rolling Eyes

Tsk! Take a deep breath , you're taking this all far too seriously. Try again , reading each post slowly whilst breathing gently - if you feel yourself breathing faster or sweating or biting the mouse , get up and take a walk or a cold shower , make a cup of tea : then when you feel you've calmed down sufficiently come back and try again. This time , try and read between the lines and relax - have a laff , lifes too short ( especially if you're an itv region ).
Smile I didn't think it was bad swearing compared to what went before , but then you northern types are a bit sensitive , we know.
Now , back to the thread .....whatever it was.......

Here in London it's very confusing

Monday's-Fridays (5:15pm) everything is refered to either ITV 1, ITV 1 London (on Teletext) or London Weather, However from the orginal LWT on air time ITV 1 London on teletext reads London Weekend TV (On my Phillips Tv Set when you change channels - If you know what I mean - It says ITV 1 London in Carlton's time), ITV 1 LWT on text pages (expecpt Page 695 which still has the LWT logo) & LWT Weather Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused

Dear God! I never realised! How stupid of me not to realise how high the level of humour has risen on TVF. Far above my tiny brain in my pretty blond head.

Which really does prove you haven't read my posts. I pointed out that I spent the first half of my life growing up in the South West.

But, of course, I forgot how much more intelligent, witty and charming you are.

Why , thank you Embarassed
If you have memory problems , by the way , the doctor person on This Morning recommends " Gingko Biloba " tablets - in fact he swears by them ( not in the way you're thinking ) . ho- ho. Very Happy
