THIRD TIME TO TRY THIS
I noticed this (new) endcap on "Tales of the Unexpected" tonight on ITV3. Is this new, I've not seen this one on Granada/ITVplc programmes before.

It's quite nice though, although in the usual Granada minimalist style.

It was used on Granada Video releases. Maybe also used as a one time Granada international logo.. but it isn't new, as thats the old Granada logo from before the big purple G was introduced.

It is quite nice thoigh, I have to admit. Stylish and subtle.

Remember at the time that this logo was out, ITV weren't allowing animated end caps. So if they were, perhaps we may have seen this.

It's quite nice. Its clearly been tagged onto Tales Of The Unexpected rather than being played out to cover the Anglia TV logo.

I noticed ITV3 seem to have stopped 'covering' old production slides now (Rising Damp has YTV on the end again instead of "Granada Yorkshire") so the tapes have that Granada ldent fixed on for some reason.

If you watch the TOTU end carefully you'll note that they've repeated the last few frames (which were a freeze-frame on film, so there are marks on the original) over and over, which is where they've got rid of the Anglia Production cap.

It probably just depends which programmes have been re-versioned for international sales

Quick question: If ITV were to replace the old end-caps again on the ITV digital channels, would they be allowed to use the ITV Productions end-caps on the shows made by ITV, or would it have to be the Granada branded ones?

I've seen that one at the ned of TOTU as well. But a long time ago I saw an odd Granada endcap after 60 minute makeover that was in the 2004-6 style but said "A Granada production for ITV".

The one you refer to is still being shown on the episodes airing in the 10:30am weekday slot.
