During the daytime series "Family Xchange" earlier this year the closing sequence was always a full screen purple LWT logo "for BBC" like that of ITV1.
As mentioned briefly in the Today with Des and Mel thread, today's new series still had the copyright Carlton Television, but had a Granada Production endcap.
Maybe the old names have to be kept for legal reasons, so I wonder how come the likes of Crossroads were never copyrighted to Central Television, but then with a Carlton endcap?
I Want that House which followed at 2pm, was copyrighted Meridian Broadcasting, but still had the old purple Meridian endcap!
Meanwhile, I think I've noticed many more animated endcaps on ITV1 now since Granada started to use theirs, so maybe everyone is getting in on the act now

I've always been confused by Carlton's seemingly excessive control over Central and Westcountry - they even had the company names on the licences changed, as you can see here.
With the ending of tonight's 'A Touch of Frost' doctored to include the new Granada caption, I'm wondering just how many times this particular episode has now been butchered for one reason or another?
