Grampian tv has lost all picture tonight (Saturday) and is broadcasting sound only. Picture as normal on satelite though!
I have tried calling Grampian in Aberdeen but there is no answer - I would have thought there would be someone there to take the calls in situations like these?
All transmission comes now from Glasgow but I am sure they could divert the telephone from Aberdeen when thet shut up shop!

Have you tried calling Glasgow too?
The number I had for Glasgow did not match when I called - but I would imagine there would have been someone there to take the call - mind you it would save them money if there was not!
There will have been someone in the duty office, did you try them?
Presumably it is just affecting a small area, perhaps one transmitter or relay? Although SMG or NTL might have already been aware of it, just taking a while to find/get to the fault

Take your point but there should be a system of transferring calls or even a message on the GTV number thats in the book ...........
......there maybe someone in the duty office but no one knows the number!!

If you have a copy of the Radio Times, it's printed in there, usually somewhere around Fridays listings
EMail back today from Grampian said that they took over 300 calls re the breakdown that as the spokesman said "took off the transmission" on Saturday night.
There was someone on duty but were kept busy with a total of 20+ calls queing up at any one time!
Problems solved now (BT FAULT) and an investigation opened to see what went wrong?
