Grampian to get new idents

I see Grampian was showing a promo tonight for the all new line up of drama shows next week. They were all packaged nicely with a new type of ident............it still was using the SMG 4 blue squares but of what I caught it looked very good!!

I did hear Grampian were getting a freshen up (not behind time) in the early part of the Year - so I recon it will all start from tomorrow!!

Only hope they can make the anouncers sound more interesting?

Oh I hope that's true. Can't wait to get rid of the "celebrities". No doubt it'll be the same for Scottish.

There is a promo going around that previews The Baby War (mon, 9pm), Life Begins (wed, 9pm), Driving Mum & Dad Mad (wed, 10pm) and Fat Friends (thurs 9pm), that uses the terminology of them being a new beginning and such like.

It features a backgroud that looks as though squares are turning (face to side to face, rather than spinning around to form diamonds and back).

Isn't it just an ITV promo? I didn't think anything of it, Grampian haven't let these idents run their full course really. I don't see a problem with the current idents.

No I think it will be a new look - it is WELL overdue!!

The font on some of the promos late tonight are all new and its is the background with the aforementioned diamonds were dark (SMG) blue.

As far as Scottish go, it was just a normal Shereen Nanjiani ident. Has Grampian still got the celebs?

Yes. When I saw I knew straight away it was just an ITV promo because all this stuff is starting on ITV.
