I thought I would ask some of the more Northern people about some of the Grampian archive, especial since stv seems to went a bit over the top with the tapes. There not alot of information around, it would be nice to found out a bit more:

Gameshows:
* http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Shammy_Dab I have just found out Borders took this show aswell, there a turn up for the books, also does anyknow how many series were done? and when there were broadcast? Was the format the same from 1980 episodes?

Johnny Beattie 80 - 87? Dougie Donnelly 88 -89?

* http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Top_Club Where there only 3 presenters for Top club? also Did Scottish broadcast the series before 1990? does any know also know how many series there were or when it went out?

If we can found the dates, then I can have a nosey around Online Glasgow herald, to see if there more details, it has worked as I found a piece about STV "The better sex" it had Prize fund of £6000, and 1985 Series of Now you see it, and funny you should say that.

I've leave the rest just for now, ( also wondering if stv players has the full list of home style programmes made by Grampian)

As an 'outsider', I remember Grampian for their contributions to ITV Schools, such as Living and Growing and Gather Round. There was talk some time ago that classic Grampian programmes may appear on STV's You tube channel.

I don't know if that is really true?

We do know many of the 1960s tapes were sent to Scottish screen, and to this date there still don't have a full catalogue of programmes there have. The only tapes that would have been sent out to the skip would be the "Entertainment tapes" but again would there have not been sent to Glasgow Warehouse? ( big famous one)

STV did the same, there not kept alot of 80s tapes.

Question is would programme about making spare cash on the side be needed to be saved?

I do seem to recall watchin an edition of Top Club on STV one afternoon, as a 10 year old boy, in 1989. so STV did carry it then. But I don't then recall seeing it much more.

Another Grampian show STV carried was a four part DIY show, with Frank Gilfeather (Who now is a freelance journalist) as the presenter. Can't remember the name of the show though.

Going back to your Shammy Dab reference, I remember Bill Torrance being the presenter on this. Wasn't Johnny Beattie a team captain?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ7lhSDzYQk From 1987: Host Johnny,

Now that does not mean Bill was host before that 1980 - 1985?

I cant seem to found it on STV before 1987!
