Aren't former BIG Breakfast co-hosts Johnny and Denise supposed to be making a new Saturday night
show for BBC ONE next year? IIRC, they've done a pilot show and have got the green light for a series.

(At least words to that effect are what I'd read in one of the redtop tabloids sometime last week!)

I'm not sure how suitable Graham Norton would be for a primetime Saturday evening slot on BBC ONE.
Unless he waters down his act, and cuts out the gay innuendo stuff, it's never gonna work. But then,
if Norton does water down his act, and cuts out the gay innuendoes, he'll have virtually no act left!

Well I think it was bound to happen sooner or later however was he really worth this much. The BBC don't have waste licence fee payers to try and poach stars from other channels.

As much as I love him, I think Lorraine might be cringing after a Graham's first programme. Has she ever seen his show?

Right...

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable statement to me. Graham Norton does have a very wide appeal. And remember that he isn't coming over to the BBC to present 'V Graham Norton', expect something totally diffrent.

But he's still not going to have the same freedom that he gets on C4. His humour is all smut and innuendo, and occasionally he just relies on the f-word, he's going to have to radically change his act for Saturday night primetime.

I expect he'll be hosting a Lottery gameshow derivative Rolling Eyes

Or 'Graham's Showbiz Pals', where each Saturday he teams up with Barbara Windsor and Dale Winton......

Well it hasn't yet. They are doing a one off pilot with Paul O'Grady. But if they don't like him. Although I think Paul will be great for the job.

I'm going slightly off topic here but I thought Paul O'Grady was exclusive to ITV but nowadays we seem to see him on BBC programmes.
