Now I didn't think I'd enjoy this but it was basically V or So Graham Norton wrapped up in a half hour bitesize format. One thing was missing though.......Betty!
This is where I think Graham works best - a show in which he can be as controversial and rude as he likes. Also, its only on once a week so there is more time to prepare the show as opposed to his exhausting nightly Channel 4 show that - although I enjoyed - basically ran out of ideas and relied on sexual innuendo and Joan Rivers to keep it going.
It's just a shame that he's overused on BBC1 as their goldenboy talent show host at the moment.
I thought it wasn't that bad actually. It did seem to be very compacted however. This needs to be a 45 minute show. The uncut version is 45 minutes long but it's on at some ungodly hour of the evening!
I know it's the same ol' thing he did on Channel 4 but I still love it! Yes, no Betty brought it down a bit but also I do miss the late night Friday slot...
The show was alright and raised a few laughs. Certainly Graham back doing what he does best, Although personally I don't think he's done too bad in his "general entertainment presenter" role. There are better people then him but there are also many who are worse. Davina, Vernon, Kate, Holly, Ben. Fearne....
Oh dont the episode with Victor Meldrew(think I got that right) was one of the first things I truly ever wet myself laughing at
Anyone remember the thing about a dancing priest? I was goin to Christmas eve/day midnight mass and me and my mum had just watched that episode, i just whispered dancing priest to mum and she burst out laughing in the middle of mass! Mass!!!!!! Then she spent the whole thing just silently giggling setting me off laughing and then by me giggling it set her off laughin, this is why I will always love Father Ted(and im from Galway that might have something to do with it?)
He was bought to the UK's attention via Father Ted.
He played the hyperactive Father Noel Furlong
Played a hilariously funny part in what is my all time favourite comedy. He made two appearences - one when Ted goes on holiday to the caravan to find Noel (Graham Norton) already there and the other in the episode with Victor Medlrew (Richard Wilson) where Noel is stuck down in the caves.
