Grade calls for simplified ITV regional structure

Well doesn't Virgin in a way own the likes of UKTV Gold & Living, so a) They could do a removal from SKY like SKY did from Virgin & b) SKY could move the Virgin channels elsewhere in favour of putting other broadcasters channels(but more likely their own!)higher on the EPG.

I'm guessing obviously, as I don't know how allocation of EPG slots works!

UKTV is jointly owned by the BBC and Virgin

all this talk of channel 3 4 or even 5 being a privilege status - may be true or not. But in The Netherlands where analogue was switched off over 18 months ago. The channels have kept their original positions with no broadcaster fighting for the spots.

i.e.:-
NED1,2 & 3 are channels 1, 2 and 3
RTL4, 5, 7(formerly Yorin), Tien (formerly Talpa) are channels 4, 5, 7, 10
SBS 6 (owned by SBSProSeiben) is channel 6
Net5 (soon to be changing its channel name btw)(owned by SBSProSeiben) is channel 7
Veronica (owned by SBSProSeiben) is channel 8
Nickelodeon/Comedy Central is channel 9

You must have just stepped out of a tardis, analogue in the Netherlands was switched off a little over six months ago, in December 2006.

How can RTL 7 be on channel 7 and Net5 on channel 7 :

Which is your transmitter, because my understanding, (and I was working at NOS that month) was the entire network was closed on Dec 11th 2006.

In the Aachen area - I now live in Almere (very close to Amsterdam (SBS offices) and Hilversum (RTL et al)

And to the other post - the 2 ch7's was a typo!!!
