Would be nice to see BBC1 get an episode of Allo Allo in the schedules as they did with Fawlty Tower before Christmas, though not much slack in the primetime BBC1 schedule this week thanks to the FA Cup on Friday.

I think the last full repeat run was in 1997-1999, went out most Saturdays. I remember BBC Scotland using it as a filler many a time in the early and mid 2000's.

Of course he was in many other things as a bit actor.

Wasn't it part of Afternoon Classics on BBC2 a few years back?

Also a staple of UKTV Gold and UKTV History / Yesterday

I thought BBC Two did the full 'Allo 'Allo run as part of their comedy afternoon filler after DQF?

Yes, the last run finished September 2015 according to BBC Programmes

I wonder if we could get a special showing of 'Allo 'Allo on BBC1 one evening this week, just like we got an airing of Fawlty Towers last month when Andrew Sachs died.

I was thinking of BBC one repeats in my statement.

I think they will struggle to fit one in unless it's after the 10 O'Clock News.

And in fact it was the first time I believe any of the final series had been shown by the BBC since it was first aired! Though of course it had been on UK Gold numerous times.

Didn't BBC One use to air it Sunday afternoons in the early-mid 2000s?

They did indeed. I gather it used to get very good ratings in that particular slot.
