It should be noted that the building that link appears to be pointing at is no longer Anglia TV.

My bad - I think it was last time I was in Norwich, but that was quite some time ago!

I never knew that they had all these BBC buildings around Scotland. What are they actually used for?

Inverness and Stornoway produce the bulk of the output of Radio nan Gaidheal; Inverness has the studio for An La (the Gaelic TV news programme), and there's a little studio in MG Alba in Stornoway too.

Inverness, Aberdeen and Stornoway are also used for Radio Scotland - though mainly short contributions and short opt-outs. (Dumfries, Selkirk, Orkney and Shetland also do radio opts.)

Thanks. I had wondered if it was for the Gaelic service. The Invrness building looks a lot like BBC Somerset in Taunton.

It was linked to in the old thread anyway as they've been on Street View a while, but given they pretty much finished knocking down the buildings in the last few weeks from what I'm told, it seems highly poignant to link back to this place in a former view:-

this will be an exciting time for the UK's train spotters as they can explore the Country's rail network without even having to pack a thermos
